Beast Within, The (1982)	Starring: Ronny Cox, Bibi Besch Director: Philippe Mora	Bibi Besch after being raped by some sort of monster, gives birth to the monster's child. Who then grows up and looks for someone else to rape and repeat the process. Stupid!
Bloody Birthday (1980)	Starring: Susan Strasberg, Jose Ferrer Director: Edward Hunt	Scary story about a group of children born during a solar eclipse who later become sociopathic killers.
Bride, The (1985)	Starring: Sting, Jennifer Beals Director: Franc Roddam	Sting is doctor Frankenstein in this remake of the old classic film "Bride of Frankenstein". After years of research, the doctor finally succeeds in creating the perfect woman, who gets the name "Eva".
From Beyond (1986)	Starring: Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton Director: Stuart Gordon	Based on a story by H. P. Lovecraft, a gory horror film about scientist's experiments with the sixth sense.
Deadly Friend (1986)	Starring: Matthew Laborteaux, Kristy Swanson Director: Wes Craven	Idiotic movie about a young scientist who gives life to a murdered girlfriend via a computer chip and she becomes a vicious killer.
Dead Zone, The (1983)	Starring: Christopher Walken, Brooke Adams Director: David Cronenberg	This not-too-excessively gory thriller, based on a Stephen King story is about a High school teacher who awakens from coma and finds himself psychic.
Firestarter (1984)	Starring: Drew Barrymore, David Keith Director: Mark L. Lester	Supernatural thriller about little girl who sets fires with her mind. The government gets involved and wants to study her. Great special effects.
Gremlins (1984)	Starring: Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates Director: Joe Dante	This was a an incredibly FUNNY movie! You have to love it. I love Gizmo the soft fuzzy little critter, who is fine so long as you obey a few basic precautions.
Kindred, The (1987)	Starring: Rod Steiger, Kim Hunter Director: Stephen Carpenter	Not that great of a film, about a grotesque, scientifically mutated monster who, unsurprisingly, wreaks havoc.
Man with Two Brains, The (1983)	Starring: Steve Martin, Kathleen Turner Director: Carl Reiner	Offbeat movie about Steve Martin as a mad scientist/ surgeon who is the inventor of cranial screw-top brain surgery falls in love with a brain in a jar.
Nice Girls Don't Explode (1987)	Starring: Barbara Harris, Wallace Shawn Director: Chuck Martinez	A young girl with telekinetic powers finds romance problematic as objects spontaneously combust whenever she is sexually aroused. I'm gonna resist all urges to comment here.
Nightmare at Noon (1987)	Starring: Wings Hauser, George Kennedy Director: Nico Mastorakis	When scientists screw up the local water supply, the residents of a small desert town become chemically altered, crazed killers.
Return of the Killer Tomatoes (1988)	Starring: Anthony Starke, George Clooney Director: John DeBello	What can I say about a movie that had a tagline of: "The vegetables of doom return! They're bad and this time they're really stewed!" ? Believe it or not, it's actually better than the original.
Re-Animator (1985)	Starring: Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbott Director: Stuart Gordon	H.P. Lovecraft tale about a scientist re-animating dead tissue. Both funny and gory.
Scanners (1981)	Starring: Stephen Lack, Jennifer O'Neill Director: David Cronenberg	Your average low-budget "mad scientist" horror/thriller about telepathic experiments gone wrong.
Spontaneous Combustion (1989)	Starring: Brad Dourif, Cynthia Bain Director: Tobe Hooper	An evil government experiment goes wrong, and causes a young man with the mental power to incinerate his enemies in a blaze of fire. Kinda like Firestarter, but lacks the good special effects of it.
Strange Behavior (1981)	Starring: Michael Murphy, Marc McClure Director: Michael Laughlin also known as: Small Town Massacre Dead Kids	When corpses marked by strange stab wounds start appearing in a small Midwestern town, the grisly murders are traced to experiments at the local university.
Terror Within, The (1988)	Starring: Andrew Stevens, George Kennedy Director: Thierry Notz	A biological warfare plague has wiped 1/2 the world, except for 8 young scientists who live in an underground medical center and are trying to find a vaccine. They are attacked by hybrid monsters born of human women and who are bent on creating more of the same.
